UI Engineer/Developer

This position is a high impact role with significant influence on the international commercial success of our organization. As a UI Engineer/Developer, your mission is to build a complete refresh of our existing products. You will work to develop leading edge user interfaces for new and existing products while ensuring consistent customer satisfaction. You will have a front row seat and immediate impact upon the streamlining of UI design, developing, implementing and maintaining our products. In addition, you will need to navigate through technical challenges while anticipating conflicts and developing and proposing innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

Works with internal developers, end-users and domain experts to analyze business needs and processes, and to identify how they can be enhanced by PC or Web-based technologies.

  • Analyses of the application and business domain data requirements and business rules, understanding the data flow from source to screen, when designing the User Interface.
  • +Assume overall User Interface design of PC and Web applications, incorporating usability, comprehensive work flows, applying standards, using various tools to create graphical interfaces for web based; rich/thick client applications. Work with Development teams to improve the overall experience.
  • Incorporates UI/UX Standards and Templates into work products and application UI design. Ensures style sheets, images and icons are applied correctly.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of interaction and visual design in a business context.
  • BS in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or related practical experience is preferred.
  • Software development experience in one or more general programming languages. (e.g. C, C++, C#, Python, Java Script, HTML, Windows Presentation Foundation and dot.net)
  • Relevant experience in software development
  • Experience designing and implementing user interfaces
  • Able to take feedback constructively and iterate on designs and ideas from multiple stakeholders with differing opinions
  • Experience moving your designs throughout the development process.
  • Wireframe and prototyping experience
  • Excellent interaction design and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders; i.e. technical developers, business leaders, and users.
  • Adaptable team player with strong collaboration skills and a focus on results and value delivery.
  • Ability to work well on one’s own and be independently driven.
