HSI's LP Optimizer

HS/LP is a high performance linear programming system capable of solving large scale LP and mixed integer programming problems. HS/LP finds that solution which optimizes a linear objective function over a set of activities subject to linear constraints. Typical applications for HS/LP include finding optimal strategies for Raw Material Procurement, Resource Allocation, Investment Decisions, Blending and Distribution.

Input data is accepted in several formats including the industry standard MPS Format. Input may be automatically generated using the Haverly Systems OMNI modeling system. Problem results are available in tabulated form or in filed format for convenient access by the OMNI system to write finished reports.

The user directs the execution of HS/LP through the control language designed for ease of use in interactive or batch mode. While simple to use for the beginner, it provides power and flexibility to the advanced user.

HS/LP employs the most recent algorithms and processing techniques to efficiently solve models and provide quick turn-around of results. HS/LP can solve models of up to 8192 equations on PC computers. Larger models are possible.

HS/LP enhanced

George Macdonald has enhanced HS/LP. It is now a full 32 bit Win32 application system and will handle 8000 rows. In addition it has a new automatic scaling algorithm which gives more stable results. It is supplied with all OMNI systems or standalone. (8/11/98)
