Crude Assay Management System

Detailed information about the qualities of crude oils is very important to refining and petrochemical companies for a variety of decisions. H/CAMS is a comprehensive family of applications, assay databases and services that are dedicated to crude assay management.

There are two main modules which make up the full H/CAMS systems and the libraries and various interface modules:

In-depth crude assay information and analysis capability is provided in an interactive, accurate, and a consistent manner. With the interactive Crude Data Manager, iCDM, users can graphically assess each property curve, comparing it to reference data, and can quickly and interactively change data. With CAL-II, the crude assay library data is provided for user selected cutpoints.

With H/CAMS, users can quickly:

Access complete crude libraries, available with H/CAMS, containing hundreds of quality crude assays from around the world including important marker crudes & crudes of commerce;
Add new crude assays to the Crude Libraries;
Modify assays in the Crude Libraries;
Predict yields and properties of user-defined cuts from crude or crude blends through a superior calculation approach, which integrates, instead of interpolates, resulting in supperior accuracy and consistency;
Analyze data on single crude oils, mixtures of crudes or mixtures of crude and other hydrocarbon streams;
Prepare high quality, accurate cut data for single crudes or crude mixes. Includes a feature to group crudes, making the job to prepare cut data for all assays as easy as just one assay;
Display detailed hydrocarbon information from chromatographic analyses;
Generate H/CAMS files that link reports and output with other systems, such as refinery models, distillation programs, and spreadsheets;
Select from English, Metric, and alternative units for entering and reporting assay data.
