Building on the success of the new conference format introduced last year, MUG 2008 will offer a strong technical program of papers, breakout sessions and in-depth courses.

Registration is still open for the conference and courses but accommodations may be at a nearby hotel.
Late registrations are subject to room availability and hotel's prevailing rates at that time.

Technical Program
Conference Papers in the Morning
Technical papers presented by Haverly Systems and other experts will focus on new developments in refinery planning and integration, crude oil quality and management, practical refinery scheduling, and product blending. Papers by client companies will describe unique solutions to challenging problems.
Breakout Sessions in the Afternoon

Breakout Sessions focus on technical content that is practical and relevant. Sessions will be offered with topics for the novice and the expert.

Courses: Going beyond the Breakout Sessions
Three courses are offered for the novice and expert alike. These courses go far beyond the ninety-minute Breakout Sessions mention above as they provide the in-depth instruction and the reinforcing hands-on assignments that are part of a well-designed course.

Outside the Conference Room
Two events are designed to provide opportunities to meet others that work in your field. Introduce yourself at the conference kick-off event, the Sunday Reception Dinner. Great food and plenty of time to ask questions and discuss solutions. Then on Tuesday, enjoy an unusual meal with your new acquaintances at the Meal-of-the-Region.
Location

Annapolis, Maryland, "America's Sailing Capital", is host for this year's MUG conference. Founded in 1649, Annapolis offers a rich historical setting for the conference. Positioned on the Chesapeake Bay, Annapolis is the home of the United States Naval Academy (1845) and St. John's College (1696) founded as King William's School and the third oldest institution of higher learning in the United States.

Haverly Systems has secured excellent rates at the only waterfront hotel in Annapolis. It is within walking distance of restaurants, historic attractions and the U.S. Naval Academy. Bicycles are free to hotel guests to tour the town.
