Seminar: Speaking LP ERTC Asset Maximisation Conference 12 May, 2008 Lisbon, Portugal

Prior to the start of the ERTC Conference, Haverly Systems will conduct a full day seminar entitled "Speaking LP" at the Corinthia Hotel, Lisbon, 12 May 2008. This seminar is free of charge and open to all who wish to learn about the basics of Linear Programming and its role in the petroleum refining industry. As advances in refinery modeling tools and techniques continue, the technology behind Linear Programming itself is being pushed deeper and deeper into a Black Box and forgotten about, along with an understanding of how these models really work and what they are saying to us. In this seminar, we will delve into what an LP is, how they work, and how they should be applied. Attendees will learn LP's peculiar language, how to interpreted what they say, and how to manipulate their actions.
